Understanding CSIR NET Score & JRF Cutoff
CSIR NET is a qualifying-cum-ranking examination. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifying marks are eligible for JRF and/or Assistant Professor positions. The final selection depends on the merit list prepared from normalized scores across all shifts.

Assistant Professor Eligibility: Candidates who score at least the minimum qualifying marks — 33% aggregate for General/EWS/OBC and 25% for SC/ST/PwD — are considered for Assistant Professor eligibility, subject to category-wise cutoffs. No upper age limit applies for this stream.
