DSSSB Negative Marking & Marking Scheme
All DSSSB computer-based exams follow the same standard scoring pattern. Your score is calculated as:

Tentative raw score = (correct answers × 1) − (wrong answers × 0.25). Because the penalty is only a quarter of a mark, blind guessing is less costly here than in SSC-style +2/−0.5 exams — but accuracy still decides your position in a competitive merit list.

How Normalisation Works in DSSSB 2026
DSSSB conducts each post's CBT across multiple shifts and days, which means candidates write slightly different difficulty levels. DSSSB's official notifications include a normalisation clause: raw scores are statistically adjusted so that candidates in tougher shifts are not unfairly disadvantaged, and final scorecards show the normalised score.

Expected Cutoff — What to Compare Against
DSSSB does not publish pre-exam cutoffs. Final qualifying marks vary sharply by post (PRT, MTS, PGT and ministerial posts all have separate merit lists), by category (UR/OBC/EWS/SC/ST) and by year's candidate pool. Two reliable signals to gauge your position:
- Shift average marks — the calculator compares your score with the average of your shift; scoring well above the average usually indicates a strong standing within your session.
- Shift rank — your estimated position within the shift gives a direct read on how you compare with candidates who wrote the same paper.
Final cutoffs are published only with the result notice on dsssb.delhi.gov.in — we will not quote numbers until they are officially released.
How to Check the DSSSB Answer Key & Raise Objections
- Visit dsssb.delhi.gov.in and open the Answer Keys tab (also announced under "What's New" notices).
- Select your post code and open the draft answer key / candidate response sheet — you may need your registration credentials to view your individual response sheet.
- To raise an objection, use the online objection link shown on the portal within the announced window, attaching a valid reference for each challenged question.
- After the objection window closes, DSSSB reviews challenges and publishes the final answer key, which is used to compute the result.
