Put your genuine first preference first
If College A is your preferred college over College B, put A above B. The order you choose is what MCC follows during allotment.
Don't place a college above another merely because someone calls it "safe"
Your list should reflect where you would actually prefer to study, not someone else's ranking of colleges.
Don't add colleges you would refuse to join
Adding an unwanted college simply to make the list longer can create problems if it is allotted to you.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
Putting colleges in someone else's order. Your preference list should reflect your preferences, not an influencer's ranking.
Adding colleges you don't actually want. Don't treat the tool as a game of maximizing the number of choices.
Confusing this organizer with a predictor. It organizes your list; it does not predict allotment.
Forgetting to review the complete list. A mistake at position 3 is still a mistake even if positions 30–50 are perfect.
Assuming the organizer locks choices. It doesn't. MCC controls actual choice locking.
